For this study task we had to create 'campaign style posters' using the materials around us/ other people's artwork. I used cuts from magazines to produce these. The purpose was to explore how we can use artwork and visuals already accepted in contemporary design and re-purpose them; changing opinions.
This first image was based upon the idea of women's body image and it's portrayal in the media. For example period blood is always displayed as a blue liquid in adverts. This poster creates a more accurate and visually shocking image out of other advertisements. The idea is I have made the advertisement of this issue more honest.
My second poster focuses on homophobia; I used a comment made by people haphazardly on a daily basis and re-purposed images in a provocative way.
