Making a grid (OUGD403)

In order for me to effectively design a font that works together well I needed to make a grid that I could apply to each letter. I decided not to use an curves in my grid as I wanted to keep them to a minimum. I can also use Helvetica as a reference throughout designing my font as it is the basic which its designed upon.

This shows my letter A (Helvetica starting point).

I added letter B and it already got pretty complicated.

I carried on adding letters and it got really complicated and confusing but after a while some letters fitted into the grid without adding any more lines.

This is my final grid which I can now use to help me construct my new typeface.
