~ Logostarter - design production ~

As the production of each element is a key part of this brief. This is an exploration of the specific ways each deliverable would be created in the mass commercial market. Each one has been specified to be produced close to Leeds, just for an example of accessibility.

Starting with the circular stickers, Awesome merchandise is a company based in Yorkshire. They are easily accessible to anyone as orders can be placed via the website or email. The client would just need the jpeg or vector files of the sticker design. For the very reasonable price of £20 you can get 100 stickers which is ideal for start up businesses with a small budget for promotion.

These paperback stickers are produced using standard inkjet printers but a specialist sticker paper thats ready cut to be applied. The company provides a template that a design is placed onto. Any background colour needs to be full bleed onto the full sticker sheet to allow for any creep in the process.

As well as the basic circular stickers the company offers services for custom shape and sized stickers that can be applied to a multitude of surfaces. This means within just one company they could also quite easily produce the window stickers at a reasonable price.

In terms of the packaging printing commercial printers can all easily produce something of good quality and standard following this design. The G.F.Smith paper I selected is available to all and most high standard printers have a relationship with the company already so the client will not have to contact them at all in terms of stock as long as its specified to the printer. In terms of print finish each printer can offer different services, from laminates, to gloss to spot varnish. Anything that prevents cracked ink and doesnt dampen colour/sharpness is ideal for this packaging. The last element the printers must be able to provide is die cutting, the cut for this packaging is simple so should be relatively cheap. But this allows the wrap around strip to join together around the main body.
