~ song music web design - further exploration ~

Further exploration into the needs of the final outcome began with creating some more personas that I interpret as the target audience of my website.

I believe the website need to be easy to navigate as its a key necessity for web design for the best user experience. But the aesthetic and interactivity of the design is also important.

For example people need to know something is happening as they click buttons and navigate a site. Buttons changing colour when you hover and click them is a way of creating this.

Colour theory is important in terms of user experience. Particularly when it comes to buttons the colours used effects the click through rate. Red raises the heart rate and creates the highest click through rate of all colours. So anything of the upmost importance (in this case a link to buy the album) should be in red for most chance of success.

High contrast between text, buttons and background also increases click through rate. As you can see in the image above the current websites text blends with the background which isn't effective into drawing people into navigating the site.

Considerations of contrast, colour and overall aesthetic need to be made within the sites design. But considering the website is temporary to increase pre-sales of the album the site will follow the colour scheme of the album artwork for relevance and consistency.
